Un anno al Master in Management del Turismo - MTM - č unesperienza attiva per assimilare i valori e i criteri, per acquisire gli strumenti e le tecniche, per sviluppare le competenze e conoscere le sfide manageriali del turismo, con una destinazione concreta: lavorare nel mondo del turismo.
Il Master in Tourism Management (MTM), in lingua inglese, forma professionisti in grado di inserirsi con successo in imprese dei diversi settori della filiera turistica (alberghi e villaggi, aziende crocieristiche, compagnie aeree, enti e gestori di fiere e congressi, tour operator, network di agenzie viaggi, organizzazioni pubbliche e private e in societą di consulenza per lo sviluppo di progetti turistici) e contribuire in modo attivo alla loro crescita
MTM si caratterizza per il forte coinvolgimento di imprenditori e manager delle maggiori imprese del settore e per un approccio multidisciplinare basato su solide competenze di strategia, economia aziendale, finanza, organizzazione, comunicazione e marketing.
The programme takes one year, and its articulated in 6 modules for a total of 1500 hours. Classes are completely taken in English. Classes will be from monday to friday from 9am until 6pm. Participation to classes is mandatory.

MODULE I: BASIC COMPETENCE BUILDING (7,5 ECTS)
Share a base of knowledge and tools of analysis to start to deal with specialist contents of following modules
- Players and roles in the tourist system
- Sustainable tourism guidelines and management practices
- Accounting management
- English for business
- Market research analysis
- Italian for foreigners (extra curricular activity for international students)
- Vocational guidance course
MODULO II: GENERAL MANAGEMENT (17,5 ECTS)
Learn the peculiarities of the economical context and tourism business to catch the logics, typical decisions and managerial tools applied among the different areas of tourist companies.

- Business strategy
- Information and communication technology
- Human resources management
- Leadership and organizational behavior
- Advanced accounting and management control
- Corporate finance
- Revenue management
- Corporate strategy (extra curricular activity in Italian)
MODULE III: TOURIST PROFESSIONALS (10 ECTS)
Live two months in the classroom with managers and professionals of tourism. The MTM is the only Master which offers a long and well-structured experience aimed to develop a critical analysis of managerial issues and the know-how to face them. Topics of this module will be:
- Hospitality Management
- Retail management (tour operators and travel agencies)
- Transport management (cruise and airlines)
- Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE) management
- Incoming management
MODULE IV: DESTINATION MANAGEMENT (7,5 ECTS)
Learn how to manage a destination at governance, promotion level and develop new products to gain the competitiveness of tourism districts and realize a sustainable competitive advantage. Topics of this module will be:
- Destination strategy and planning
- Destination branding
- Community attitudes to tourism
- Tourism event planning and development
MODULE V: BUSINESS PLAN (5 ECTS)
Elaborate in a working group an entrepreneurial project concerning a strategic and economical analysis and apply tools and methodologies learned during the master in order to achieve a common result. The business plan is taken under the supervision of a tutor from the assignment till its presentation.
MODULE VI: INTERNSHIP (10 ECTS) 3 or 6 months starting from July or September 2008 - in Italy or Abroad
Realize an individual project in companies or institutions of tourism with the support of an insider tutor and one from the Master who will carry out and evaluate the project.
FINAL EXAM (2,5 ECTS)
The final exam is made up by an individual paper which summarise the internship experience and its results. The paper is presented to classroom and evaluated by the direction of the Master.
